I fell within a week of trying and knew I was pregnant at the end of that week when I went out, drank more black russians than were good for anyone and they didn't stay down for more than an hour. (This was before there was so much info on the damage alcohol can do to a foetus.) I ate a lot of avocados with vinegar in the well and brown bread and butter, and a lot of chocolate Double Deckers and Mars Bars too lol As I was 34 at the time I got rather tired especially as I was doing two jobs and worked till 6 weeks before the birth as well as supervising a lot of work on my house, including the underpinning of the foundations. I ended up a single Mum as the father decided he hadn't meant things to happen so quickly! |

start taking folic acid tablets if you aren't already. If you are planning to get pregnant you should take them before conception, and up to 12 weeks once you are pregnant. |

I didn't crave food much apart from my 5th, and it was salt. I would go through about 4 packets of mini cheesey cheddars covered in salt a day. But with all my pregnancies it was smells I craved, boot polish windolene, paint, petrol, normally couldn't stand the smell of them and as soon as the baby was born the craving went away, thank god, lol. |
