Rambling Rose,

Horsey horsey was my favourite too.

Did you sing a second verse?

Horsey, horsey,
don't you stray,
we've done the journey many a day
your tail goes swish
and the wheels go round
giddy up, we're homeward bound.

Loved it as a little girl & I sang this to my three and was singing it today to my childminded toddlers.

Janice, just about yes,am 50...I think we would have got our first tv about 1961/2....remember vividly the first satellite (Telstar) broadcast from US....all 'snow' and crackle lol

apparently when we first had TV I would run and hide if there were any cars or trains on....thinking they might come out of the 'box' lol

Knew the two little birds one, the horsey horsey one, and the Banbury cross one, my Dad came from Buckinghamshire, just 3 miles from Buckingham and his grandmother came from Chipping Norton area. Also heard the flea one and the one you did with your fingers, to make a steeple, learned that in school I think.
