That's the saddest story I have heard for a long time. As a cat owner myself, I just can't comprehend how 'people' can bring themselves to carry out such acts.Mine is constantly lap padding me to show how loved and safe she feels with me and I wouldn't want it any other way. I return her love, not because it is a duty, but because I genuinely want to.
I hope you keep us up to date with any little milestone that she achieves, as i'm sure by reading previous posts that you will.

For now little star will be staying in the cattery - i assume when she is well enough she will be rehomed (i'd have her in a heartbeat but my house isn't quiet enough, lol)
I will, in a couple of days when she's more settled get a little pic of her for you all - she really is the sweetest little thing!

i once took in a feral cat it took us six months to tame her even feeding her was a nightmare but she remained frightened of people who didn't live with us all her life she used to hiss and spit and climb up my wall paper but with us she was as gentle and loving as any cat could be loving her was reward in its self we called her satan and she sometimes well lived up to her nameit amazes me how cruel people can be

Lou, I am weeping reading this... I have my two boys sleeping with their heads on my keyboard, and at my feet is my beautiful elderly Belle... so badly beaten and traumatized when found by my son that her jaw was broken... and more than once, some of the breaks had healed.

X Rays also showed that she'd had other bones broken in her ribs and her front leg, which were in various stages of healing. It was a long struggle, as she was petrified of women... not men.

If I had had a glass of wine and went to stroke her, she went demented, so we surmised that she had been subjected to this abuse by a wine drinking female.

But we persevered, and her spirit has been restored. She is now between 16 and 18 years old, contented and happy. She has been with us almost 13 years, and has the most beautiful nature.

Star will, with your help, have the same future to look forward to now that you are loving her.

Love

Oh Lou I'm sorry to hear what has happened to poor little Star. How people can be so cruel I don't know. Star's luck has now changed for the better though because she's got you to look after her.

Lou, what makes you think you were waffling?

You are a good, good woman if you can be trusted to bring a little faith, love , and comfort to this tiny abused little creature.

I have only read your message so don't know much more.

Have these people been dealt with? And how?
You do realise that I am being good here... not one curse !

I just cannot comprehend how 'people' can be so evil and wicked, words fail in these situations. How on earth do these sort of people come up with different ways to torture innocent animals, I really don't know. With all your care and love I pray that you get there with this little one.

God Bless

Heartbreaking to read of any animal cruelty.
They're so defenceless and put their trust in whoever cares and feeds them.

You are a special person Lou to give animals love and protection and I wish you well.
Do hope little Star recovers well and in time someone gives her a loving home.
Soft hug for her. (x)

Poor little cat.

Please keep us informed about her progress.

My family took in an abandoned cat many years ago when I was a teenager. We called him Kipper.
He was traumatised because a boy in his previous home used to "play" with an airgun. It took me weeks to get him to stay indoors with us but eventually he became a soppy lap cat.
His background wasn't as bad as your poor little one but I found his case hard enough to believe.
