There seem to be a lot of horses called Etabella when you google the name!!
Could be Italian in origin

I have a Mahetabel in my family, sounds similar.

I've never heard the name before. I thought at first it might be mistranscribed, but I see she is also called this in 1861 and Etty in 1851.

The only thing I thought of was Estabella which I have heard before, but I wouldn't have thought it would be mistranscribed in the same way more than once.

i have the name ettabela hope in my family in the 1841 cencus anyone know where the name comes from or means im at a dead end with it thank you
