Is there an officer listed? If so, you could find him in the Army List, which would give the regiment. |

Have tried Google but nothing comes up. Did you notice that most of the people on that census were Irish? Perhaps an Irish regiment? Why don't you try Rochdale Library? |

Does anybody know which regiment/unit occupied Spotland barracks in Rochdale in the 1840s? The names of the individuals are listed on the 1841 census but there is no indication of the unit they belonged to. |
