Hi Reg,
Not sure if you've picked up my last message on here, but just to let you know, I have a couple of matches from someone else on this site, and he was so kind as to share trees, and I now know John Wyatt's wife c1801 was Anne Michael, so none the wiser on the Rachael Savery???

Julie Report 29 Jan 2008 22:45

Hi Reg,
I'm still none the wiser really concerning Rachael Savery.
As you found out, she went on to be a servant at 16, but I still have no idea as to why she popped up in my tree. John Wyatt born 1801 married Anne( last name unknown to me as of yet), so I'm wondering if perhaps she might be Anne's neice???

Any thoughts on the info re Rachel?

There are 11 children listed for them on IGI, some are repeated entries because they have submitted AND extracted entries on there. I'll let you sort through that. Just search on the parents names "David Robinson & Mary" 1850 +/-10 in Gloucester. Ordinarily, the ones with the names all in Capitals are extracted and these are usually more accurate than the submitted, although they should still probably be checked from the source.

night & you're welcome :-)

Think he might have died before the 1891 as he's not on that or 1901 but might be wrong (have been before lol)

I think we've cracked it actually. I'm sure John Robinson and Fanny Robinson must be children of Mary Wyatt. George Wyatt is Mary Wyatt's brother so John Robinson would be his nephew, and earlier on in the census Fanny Robinson was staying with their father John Wyatt, and this would be his grand daughter. U c wat I mean? Thanks loads xxx

Not sure where Ellen's husband (presumably John's Uncle) is but it does say married not Widow and her youngest is only 2months old.

It's possible that Fanny & John are siblings, unless Ellen was a Robinson in which case Fanny & John are cousins. Confused yet? lol. You'd need birth certs to sort it out no doubt.

Julie Report 28 Jan 2008 23:51

There's a daughter Mary Wyatt who is quite alot older than her, born about 1821, so it could be possible she married a Mr Robinson and Fanny is there daughter???

~Summer Scribe~ Report 28 Jan 2008 23:49

I can't find your 1871 John Robinson. Is he born same place?

~Summer Scribe~

~Summer Scribe~ Report 28 Jan 2008 23:43

It's possible that she had her mother's name if her parents never married, but I would have thought if they'd married it would have been unusual to take it as a surname, they usually pass it down as a middle name if they want to keep it in there as several of mine have done. Unusual but not unheard of I guess.
