1801 birth cert

You might find the birth record at the Cheshire Records office...the IGI only has a fraction of what there is.

If it were me I think I would look at all the male Gorsts in Chesthire in 1841 census, born 1775 +_10 and see if anyone was a blacksmith. Such a trade was usually handed down.
Then I would look at any trade directories I could find ..

just to say thanks for the help

sadly reg the geor married to mary rowlinson is not correct

my george was a blacksmith and this george is a flatman so i have been told by some one
once again thanks you for all help

can anyone help
im trying to trace the mother of a john gorst born 1800 time in northwich cheshire i do have the correct date [13/8/1808] . what i wont to know is if there is some way of finding out who his mother is
his father is recorded as george gorst blacksmith [this is on his marriage cert]

Any help would be grt angie
