It is possible that birth was registered on the last day of June & got entered again on the 1st of July. That would mean they would be in different quarters. |

A child can be re-registered if the parents marry or if the fathers details were not on the original registration and were added later. This means that birth entries can and do appear twice. As there is no actual time limit for the re-registration process this can even be years after the birth. |

This still happens today - some friends of mine registered their baby's name shortly after the birth, then many months later decided they didn't like the name they'd chosen and so changed it! They said as long as it was done within the first year, it was okay. Presumably this little mite will have some confusion if she ever tries to look up her own birth certificate! |
