Hi Chris

I will chase this up.
I am looking up some body Imprisoned for very unusual circumstances, serving time in a civil prison for desertion from the army.

Thanks very much for your help.

Regards

Andrew

Googling I can only find reference to the Castle Prison so....If it is the York Castle Prison then according to A2A the museum holds the records.

They might be at the prison itself - depending on their archives. Or, they might be at the nearest Record Office. Someone living in the area might know the answer otherwise it's a quick phone call in the morning.

Good luck

Does anybody know if there are any records available about people who were jailed in York prison in the early 1900's?
