I wonder if anyone can give me any tips on getting any further with the surname TAZEY. It was my mothers maiden name. It does seem to have many variations found TEAZEY/TASCAY/TEASEY/TASEY. Most were from Durham, Northumberland and a few found in Shropshire and Wigan, Lancs. All were miners by trade. I live in the SE so can't get to these areas easily. The furthest back I have got is Imanuel Tazey/Tasey b.1813 m Margaret Wardle or Swinburn. Emmanuel was a popular Tazey name as was George & James. Any tips for a very frustrated researcher.... |

Thank you.. Durham records has 2 which I already had, and have done Fazey etc. Not tried Sazey so off to give it a go. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes helps. |
