Missing parts of PRs

With advances re filming badly damaged records such as the 1851 census I wonder if they`d ever consider looking again at some PRs. It`s so frustrating when you find records back to perhaps 1770 and then a huge blank gap until the late 1600s with no hope of piecing in between |

Sometimes they are just missing,have not survived. |
