I have been trying to find the death of my Grandfather for a long time with no luck. I have asked family members but no one seems to know exactly when he died. I have been told it would of been around 1959-1961 in the Manchester area but I cant find any records. I know he was born 1913 in Stoke on Trent and married Dorothy Furnell in 1949. Any ideas of what to do next?

There are loads of members who enjoy a challenge but can only help if they have a name.

I've checked the marriage in 1949 and his name was Harry W. Shaw. They were married in Manchester.

There are a couple of deaths for a Harry Shaw in Manchester in that timeframe but I can't find one with a middle initial. The ages are out a bit for him too.
