Bear in mind when looking at historic records in this part of the country that the boundries changed frequently over the years for example someone born in Aston would have been referred to as being born, Aston, Warwickshire and not Aston, Birmingham as Aston was not absorbed into the city until 1911. To confuse matters even further other inner city areas, namely Vauxhall and Deritend were also districts in their own right but for registration purposes would have been classed as Aston....hope this all makes sense |

Thanks Heather for finding him on the 1901. It looks like I might have to wait till the 1911 comes out to see what that says. My Chorley family originated in Milverton/Bridgewater/ Bedminster and Wiviliscombe area of Somerset. |

Just to clarify, Deritend was a district in its own right but it was in Aston for purposes of registration as was other inner city areas and is commonly known as Digbeth or for modern means 'East Side' |
