advice on how to trace rellies / friends of witnes

im tyring to trace the rellies & friends of a marriage in1937 this witness is william henry cole marriage in 1930
also witnesses to a marriage in 1895 they are william fuller & lily mona hawtin

David,

I did this with my grandmother's witnesses when I was trying to find out where she actually came from. I found the witnesses on the census and they came from her local area - by looking through the census for that area I found her family. You should be able to find your 1895 witnesses on the 1901 census and also the 1891 census and you can see if they lived near each other or grew up together, or were related in some way.

For the 1930 marriage you could try BMD.
