This is the third thread about the same thing.

Anyone interested will want to read the other two this week, at Trying to Find:

Pauline, did you just not like the advice so many other people gave you already?

Hey, Ive done all this before today!!! You have to buy certificates to verify any info. Oh dear, I have had quite a miserable day today when I was so busy too. Nite Kath and guys, my eyes are aching. Oh this is what I left on the other Blinco thread earlier today.

If you buy that marriage cert you will have it! £7 from GRO online.
You have probably seen it on free bmd - where you can look free for births, deaths and marriage refs but here is the reference that you need to buy the cert:

: Frederick C Blinco
Year of Registration: 1925
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
Spouse's Surname: Dryden
District: Whitehaven
County: Cumbria, Cumberland
Volume: 10b
Page: 1179

and POSSIBLY his birth cert (Blinco is an amazingly common name in that area) - if you get the marriage cert first to check his age and fathers first name and then you can buy the birth cert to get his mothers full maiden name.

Frederick Charles Blinco
Year of Registration: 1904
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: Whitehaven
County: Cumbria, Cumberland
Volume: 10b

I didn't know there was another thread......... we have to assume that Pauline doesn't bother to read her replies, I guess.

Nah, Reg, Pauline carried one of those threads on at great length, with effusive thanks (which of course I would be paranoid if I thought were a backdoor way of snubbing the person who pointed out that two sets of people were working on her little problem, in two threads posted minutes apart, while she sat back and waited for the work to be done ...).

Good lord, Heather, there was yet ANOTHER thread??

Yup, today, Trying to Find:

http://genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=994604

and Pauline doesn't seem to have acknowledged your reply. I guess if nobody will tell her what she wants to know, it's not worth noticing.

The two I was referring to were from the 13th ... in the second of which, the VERY FIRST POST, from Seaham Lass, said:

"But the only marriage that I can find for Blinco to Dryden is in 1925
Frederick C Blinco = Margaret C Dryden"

I guess if you post one on Tips and one on Trying to Find, it's okay. Or maybe nobody will notice. Oh look, it worked.

Time wasters.
