Thank you, I think its the same but the igi doesn't give ref numbers does it or does it? |

The IGI is a copy of Parish records (from churches)......the GRO is the record of civil registration, and uses ref numbers for identification. |

A marriage in February would appear in the March quarter in the GRO indexes as this covers Jan to March so the GRO reference matches the marriage you have found on the IGI. |
