How can I find details of a court case in 1964?

Also could I view prison inmates details from 1964?

You could try contacting the Huddersfield Examiner which is the local newspaper .
I'm sure there would have been a story on it if he went to prison

If they locked them up for that nowadays, the prisons wouldn't be able to cope!!!!

OH's brith mother has just said the same reggie - apparently she went to the Doctors at 7 months with her Dad ( she had hid the pregnancy until then ) and she believes it was the Doctor who told the Police and he was arrested the next day.

Try the local library...ours has our local paper archives for the last hundred years or so on microfiche with an index you can search by first to narrow the hunt down

I would rather not put the accused's name on here as he may still be living and his family may not know of his background as he was only 18 at the time in 1964.

Will have to try the library

I have found them very helpful looking at parish registers, they will do a 30 min search free.
