I want to print my family tree out,but not done it before. How can I tell how many pages will be printed out. I have over 700 people on my whole tree at the moment. |

I wouldn't bother trying to print the GR tree format. It's going to take a huge amount of paper and isn't a brilliant way for it to all be set out. |

Let's just say that with 700 names it is likely to cover pretty much your entire floor and with all those bits of paper to stick together it's like a jigsaw with lots of big pieces. |

To answer your question rather than put you off or suggest alternatives when you select print you are given the option to scale the tree and then if you run the mouse over it you can see how many sheets it is and select the ones you want. Bear in mind that the actual printed tree will not show the year of death for people on the tree as it does when you view it online. I print mine off regularly to use as a road map for my research and find it ok. |

Thanks. That does sound alot of messing about and a whole tree would have to be used. A good idea about doing each branch. I'll try that. I have gone off in so many directions. |

Cheers Philip. I'll try that one. Sounds easy enough to do. |
