Would be most grateful if somebody could help with two look ups on 1901 census. I believe that you can find who was living at an address , I am trying to piece together my grandmothers life before she gave birth to my mother and after my mother was born and given to foster parents in 1905-6
I have received some post cards from a cousin who I have contacted through GR they were written to my grandmother at this critical period .
The address for 1905 was The Rectory, Brant Broughton, Nr. Newark, notts.
The second is Silverwood, Thistleton, Nr. Oakham Leics.
There just may be a clue there if one of the residents has my mothers middle name.
I am thinking of joining Ancestry but would like to be on a month to month contract, this does not seem to be offered at the moment although I think I did see an offer for this quite recently, any tips on this would be appreciated,as would any info on the addresses.
Thanks a lot Christine

1901 can be searched by address on National Archives but is a pay to view site. Although a search can be done for free.

A search on Ancestry is possible but you need some idea of which ED the address comes under and then look at the images

In 1901 Thistleton is under Rutland. There are only 4 images and none mention Silverwood. Most of the houses are listed as "private"
