I believe it's Fireman (Loco). The first ( attaches itself to the word fireman causing the confusion. |

Try as I might I just cannot work out the occupation of Stephen Upton on the 1891 census. If anyone has Ancestry access and a spare moment, could they please cast their eyes over RG12/498 schedule item 483 and see if they can work out what Stephen's occupation is. |
