I can't believe how much we've found tonight - for the last 2 years I kept putting this branch off because I just couldn't get through that first bit!!!

Just wanted to say an extra big thank you to all those who helped me on this late last night ! I was chatting to my gran today about it, and my mum (it's her dad's side of the family) and they were both thrilled.

According to the header, column 4 of an 1878 Scotish birth registry entry is supposed to contain:
Name, Surname, & Rank or Profession of Father
Name, and Maiden Surname of Mother
Date and Place of Marriage
