Can anyone tell me whether the Overseas BMD Registers are available online, since they have been removed from the Family Records Centre? |

Thanks. Very useful site! But I may have to go to Plan B, these particular relatives weren't in the army or consular service. |

the overseas indexes are available for free on www.familyrelatives.com. By the way - they didn't have to be in the consular service, just that the event had to be registered with the British consulate in order for it to be included. |

Ooh, better still! Thanks for clarifying about the records. Up until now my overseas ancestors of interest have been military folk, so I haven't looked in the other registers. |
