Perhaps I shouldn't, but I've found all my rellies were born and lived within 5 yards of each other, living in each others house and swapping houses too!! The tendancy was also to marry the girl next door!!! |

Are you sure that the marriage in 1827 is correct. There are 3 other John Arnold marriages to a Mary Ann in London in 1824, 1825 and 1826 |

Perhaps his mother died in childbirth. You could try looking for female Arnold deaths around the time John was born. |
