Like Lynne I subscribe to both, as the full address as on the census form is transcribed too it makes it a bit easier to read, also a new thing on Genealogist is that if you click on the occupation it gives you details of what that occupation actually involves, plus sometimes I find ancestors on one and not on the other. |

Miss Ellie the majority of us have ancestry - all the available census, the WW1 pension records, some parish records, the Pallots Marriages, some wills and court refs and generally I dont know how anyone can do this hobby without it. |

I subscribe to both Ancestry and The Genealogist. I have found relations on The Genealogist site that I haven't been able to find on Ancestry as it seems that the information transcribed is sometimes more accurate (less mistakes in spelling names and places). |

I am looking at The Genealogist at £68.95 a year. I like this one as you don't have to buy any credits. Before I subscribe could anyone advise me? How free are the viewings? Can anyone recommend a different/better site? |
