which surname on the tree?

if someone was registered in one name then re registered in a new surname a year later which surname do i put on my family tree? |

no but i know she was registered as mothers surname then reregistered as the mother got married so they changed the surname to the fathers |

If the man the mother married was the biological father, the child should be recorded under his surname......if not, use the mother's maiden surname. |

Then I would use the father's surname. If you were to order the birth certificate I'm pretty sure you would get one with the father's surname on it. |
