Thanks Libby, St Pancras way looks very interesting. Just googled and it looks like there is or was a St Pancras House there. I'll go and have another look. You're a star!

Yes Elouise, I have all those details. By the time of the Imperial War Graves Commissions cataloging, she had moved back to Sussex. Its the address during WW1 that I need to get to the bottom of. Its turning into a real puzzler. Thanks

Help!!!
Whilst looking for a widow from the First World War, I have found a document which is almost unreadable (aren't they always?). It gives an address which looks like St Pancras(?) House, Kings Road, NWL(?). The ?pancras? and ?NWL? bits are illegible. I know the woman lived around London and surrounding counties so that makes some sense and I know her husband was in Royal service before WW1.
Does anyone have any idea what this place is etc?? The only "St anything" I have found for this period on the Kings Road is St Pancras workhouse.
Please help me, I'm going mad
