Found this name in BMD index... have a feeling it could of been mistranscribed.

Beulah Rachel Warwick.

I have heard of it but never known anyone with the name.
I just did a search on freebmd site and there are births registered from 1838 to 1923 so it's been around some time.

Used to refer to Israel, and in John Bunyan's "The Pilgrim's Progress", Beulah is the promised land.

First became used as a girl's name in the late 16th century.

References to "Beulah land" appear in American spirituals.

The name was made famous by Mae West's instruction to her maidservant: "Beulah, peel me a grape". American actress Beulah Bondi.

There is a road named Beulah Road in Cardiff. Quite posh as well.

Hi there. Thought you might like to know that my mother's uncle was baptised Welcome.
Apparently, Uncle Welcome was the first boy to arrive in the family after 6 girls! A welcome relief for his father I should think!

I've got the most unusual name of all in my family.

Nuldica..............................bet no-one else has it!

Actually, it was a mistake. The father got a bit tiddly wetting the baby's head and then went off to register the birth.

He misspelt Lucinda!!!........................................lol
