Hmm, wasnt too happy to get a crease down the middle of my latest ones...especially as two of the certs were from the 1840's, and hard enough to read as it is. I really hope it's still going to be easy to order a cert. I know identity fraud is a problem, but if someones ordering a cert from, say, the 1840s then they're not generally a fraudster! |

yes George I have and the folded certs. are definately a retrograde step , this is I guess because of the latest postal charges ie. less expensive the smaller the envelope. |

I'm sure that many of you are already aware that there are changes already going on at the GRO. As of April next year the GRO will become part of the IPS (Identity & Passport Service). If getting a Birth Certificate is anything like getting a new Passport, then God help us all! |
