THE 1851 CENSUS I HAVE FOR JAMES IS -
STEPNEY - ST JAMES -TOWER HAMLETS.
JAMES WORBOYS 42 (or 46, not too clear) A LABOURER BORN STRATFORD
JANE WORBOYS, WIFE,41YRS
*JAMES WORBOYS* SON 19YRS (no work)
ANN ,DAUGHTER 15 YRS
MARYANN, DAUGHTER,10 YRS
The census i have is not a very clear copy and the address looks like 20 london st or rd,

This is a real long shot but could he have died while Hannah was pregnant?

Deaths Sep 1852
Worboys James Royston 3a 128

Births Jun 1853
Worboys William Stepney 1c 520

Still desperately looking for a marriage though!

Seems like the GRO answer is the right one.

dont think the death sept 1852 could be him selina, as he was the informant ,registering his son william's birth june 1853!
