"I see someone else has joined you too...I think its disgusting how you and a few others on that site were going on about how no-one was gonna get help on here, cos all the professionals had left here.

Was reading on there the other day how they are in need of money"

Boy, back on here for just a day pr two and the abuse gets thrown again, makes you wonder just why i contribute so much elsewhere doesn't it. NOT!!!!!

I won't be so petty as to report it as abuse and see the thread vanish, after all let the members here see the site for themselves and decide.

So someone can mention one particular site but not another? As for another one at it i merely pointed out that the stuff i posted on here has gone but new versions can be found elsewhere on the internet.
As for the site needing money, the site is free to use by anyone and everyone, donations towards the costs of running the site can be made, not everyone is aware of how and why these donations can be made.

If the site admin choose to point out how then what is wrong with that?

Obviously although the site is so bad you don't wish to use it you don't mind looking at it otherwise you would not know what had been posted.

Which site is this? can someone PM me, I have a feeling I'm already a member but in truth forgot to go on there in a LONG time and should really go back and visit!

I don't see any problem with links etc, you learn and find so much more when you use forums like this to SHARE finds and resources.

Julie - I'm a bit confused about your message, maybe I'm just knackered and not reading it properly but I don't really understand it.

LOL Julie - why does it worry you so much? People give out other links all the time, just what is the problem with that particular site?

I cant remember ever saying any professionals were on this site - there has never been any professionals as far as Im aware. I think may be your memory is misleading you.

And the site is FREE - and you seem to have used it yourself, why deny the same chance to everyone else on here?

Slightly puzzled by this thread

If you did not delete your threads then the only other possible explanation is that GR did it - so have you asked GR about this

I see that just about all the useful guides and lists i created have dissappeared during my absence.

I won't recreate them all again here, lots of the stuff is now on a reference section of another site, where it can be accessed easily and doesn't vanish when ten threads are posted.

GEDCOM guides, FTM help, local register offices and certiificate tutorials, research techniques and suchlike (most either illustrated or with screenshots) have been created and knock the text only stuff on here into a cocked hat.

Everything has been checked and proofread, submitted links checked to ensure they are suitable (no rogue links to "unsuitable" sites). So if you see i have posted a link elsewhere that is where i'm pointing you.
