Hi I have decided to have a look at my OH family tree but they were all born in Scotland and he is not the best with names and dates. Any ideas where I can look for the info. I know there is Scotlands people but you have to buy units. Do they not have any free sites?? |

Scotlands People is your best bet. Yes you have to buy units but they are £6 for 30, 1 unit for a search & a further 5 to view the register. |

freecen have some info but Scotlandspeople is your best bet £5 for 30 credits but if you want a certificate you get it there and then unless it is after 1906, 1931 and 1956 but by new year they will add a year on to the records |

As mentioned above the dates are the crucial things when using Scotlands people. |
