Michael... i had already though she sounded old at time of marriage and listed as a spinster... this why i am now inclined to see who was living with her at the address listed on the marriage certificate and see what that brings... i'm hoping it may shed some light on this mistery women

i'm just not certain has i have very little on this women... as i said earlier i have a marriage certificate to my grandad... Annie was a 2nd wife to him and he did divorce her... she was of unsound mind and believe she was placed in a instution... so i am trying to find her Birth or death cert...

Hi Guy's... a big thank you for those who have spent time on this thread... any information is welcome...

Moody Blue... answer to your thread... i have no idea where Annie Davies/Davis was living at time of Divorce... the history is that William married in 1916-1922 to a Mary Johnson having two son's Henry James and William John( she died we think in 1922).. he then married ANNIE DAVIS on 16 APRIL 1922 at Willesden registery office... My Grandad William John Orme and Annie had two Daughters Joan Constance 1923 and Molly K 1925... after that the family story goes that Annie was placed in an instution, because she wasn't allowed around knifes, as she had attacked my grandad with them.. i think Molly K was given to one of my grandad's sisters to be cared for, and Joan Constance was placed in care for a short period of her young life...after that my Grandad met my nan( who already had 4 daughters) Esther Annie then started to do house keeping for William... they finally got together in i 1929 i think... William and Esther went ahead and had a further 4 children together out of wedlock... (first child born 1932) because William was not allowed to divorce Annie who was placed in the instution ( of unsound mind)... he finally got his decree nisi in 1953 and finally married my nan Esther in 1954... my Grandad had Joan Constance returned to the household but NEVER had Molly K RETURNED... WE BELIEVE BY THIS TIME SHE HAD BEEN TAKEN TO AMERICA OR AUSTRALIA...

Hope you can digest all that information...

Hi Yorkie... i have nothing else on this lady... the decree nisi came from an aunt... she had sent me everything she had in her possession... i cant even search for the instution till i either find a Birth or death certificate... the family story goes that she attacked my Grandad with knifes and on the paperwork it does say she was of unsound mind
