Someone on Family Tree Forum recently reminded me of what a rich source of info google books is. On google page click on the "more" link (just past the usual search box) and then click on book search and enter a few key words or name, place etc. It brings up brilliant stuff. I spent literally all day on it recently. |

Thanks Heather, found interesting book about Longevity in Newnham in Glos. One woman lived to be 133 with all her faculties till 14 days before she died, her 3 daughters were with her aged 111, 110, and 109 !! This was 1772, I was interested as one of my relatives lived in Newnham in 1775 until he was 96. |

Yes, its addictive Von - enter virtually any key words and up comes pages of stuff you want to read and note down. My cousin just rang me (I met him through this research, we share a GGFx2) and he had had a go and found a book with about 20 pages of M.I. (memorial inscriptions) for Bermondsey - I darent log on to look at it at the moment, supposed to be typing up husbands survey notes. |
