Oh, I just looked at the 1861, the addy is Anlaby (Aulaby?) Road, same as the 1851,

Its so annoying isnt it when people who arent really into this are petty over small points, like, I was pming someone recently with details of a family - rare scottish name - she came back, oh yes it was Alexander but the surname definitely has 2 r's in the middle that person only has one. Scream !!!!!!!!

Oh it must be the same people, its not a common name and surely even the job ties in. Have you looked at the actual images in case the ages have been transcribed wrongly? Not that it would bother me if they hadnt, it just depends on who is giving the info doesnt it - no one knew us lot would be scrutinising it 150 years later.

1851 census was taken 30th March
1861 .............................7th. April

Perhaps the parents had birthdays in the week between 30/3 and 7/4

Having said that, people were not as aware of age in those days........didn't keep sending birthday cards!!

Thats what I thought too but the person I was trying to help keeps saying its not the same Family as ages of parents are different!

I've given up trying to explain it to her!
