My great grandad was James Long a retired ships greaser from Liverpool and he died aged 76 in 1938. A newspaper report about his inquest quotes my grandad. ''Many years ago my father was in an open boat for four days after his ship caught fire. He suffered frostbite and ever since had cold feet''. |
