Yes certificates started Sept 1837 but that doesn't mean to say all will be found or even have certificates, BMD registration wasn't compulsary until 1874 |

just wondering how to obtain birth marriage death certs for ancestors. Do you have to prove you are family , I cant believe they give them to anyone. What are the regulations regardsing obtaining such a cert ? |
