Why two christenings for one person?

Quite a few children were baptised in their homes - often when their health was bad after birth. Sometimes they would be later baptised in the church - shown as "Received into church/parish) |

Thanks - I thought Ellen/Nellie were interchangeable. My granddad always called her Nel. |

It maybe because although she was chiristened as a baby,,,,it may be her first time back for her marriage,or there would be a new vicar or priest with different views ,,,,,,,,,,, |

I wonder if anyone can help. My grandmother appears to have been christened twice. Once shortly after she was born and then again as an adult (at the same church). The adult christening says "Welcomed into the church" |
