My Gt Grandfather/Mother George Henry Martin b. 1830 and Matilda Orr b. 1846 where married in India in 1871, had a daughter Emma b.1875 in India, she married my grandfather Thomas Waller in India 1891, both men where in the army out there, I would like to get my Gt Grandparents b. certs but have no idea where they came from in the uk, or what there parents or siblings names were , any suggestions please. |

There were no such things as birth certs in 1830, and even by 1846, many births were simply not registered, as it wasn't compulsory until 1875. |
