My great grandmother was born in St Helier, Jersey Cahnnel Islands. I have now found her on 1861 census aged 8 years. My query is...It shows civil parish as St Helier, County-Jersey etc.. thats fine BUT what does it mean with registration district Anglesey and Sub registration district Holyhead?? Were the records sent to Wales or what. Anyone out there got any ideas for me.? |
