Hughes Elizabeth St. Asaph 11b 511
ROBERTS Thomas St Asaph 11b 511

Susie

When you buy a Marriage cert, NEVER dissmiss the witnesses...
Fingers crossed for you.
This could be expensive! £7 per cert!

Jackie

William 8 mths in 1871 is son of Lois so can't be married to her as she's his mother , does that make sense, spelling differences through the census's changes her name from lois in 1871 to louis in 1881 to louisa in 1901.

all very confusing as ther are lots of william's and johns through all the family lines in those census

MrsBucketBouquet Report 25 Sep 2007 23:05

2 April was census night in 1871.

So William 8 months would have been born abt August 1870?

JackieInCardiff Report 25 Sep 2007 23:00

Hi Susie
Have you found the William (8 months on the 1871 census) in the 1901 census? He would be more about the right age to be your g grandmotherer's father. Perhaps the marriage Still looking found is his, and he also married a Louisa.

That looks promising, can I just ask how you did tthat so quickly, how do you get both the names as when you do a search early on it does not give spouses name so surely you ave to do 2 individual searches with no real starting date ?

MrsBucketBouquet

MrsBucketBouquet Report 25 Sep 2007 22:48

A maybe?

Marriages Dec 1896 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JONES Louisa Conway 11b 918
Parry Jane Conway 11b 918
Price John Conway 11b 918
SALISBURY William Conway 11b 918

Conway is an alternative name for Conway and it spans the boundaries of the counties of Caernarvonshire and Denbighshire

Susie Floosie

Susie Floosie Report 25 Sep 2007 22:23

That's my thinking, but can't find any evidence to prove it as have no real dates for marriages or deaths as search is to big and names to common

Very frustrated

MrsBucketBouquet

MrsBucketBouquet Report 25 Sep 2007 22:20
