I can't find hide nor hair of my great grandfather. On my grandparents marriage certificate his name is Edward Chapman, there is a middle name whick looks like Baker but certainly begins with B. My grandparents married in 1926 and divorced during the war. I know nothing at all about my grandfathers family. Where can I look next? Has anyone got any ideas please? |

If you have the marriage cert, you must have his declared age at the time.....plus his father's name and occupation........... |

Aha! I hadn't thought about that. If that was the case would he then have been adopted by Edward after his mother married? Either way it's of no help because I don't know his mothers name........ Unless it was Baker! No good though there must be hundreds of Edward bakers. |
