Jean ....I just copied this off another thread, but this is for the BVRI

British Vital Records Index. The Vital Records index includes records from England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland. There are approximately 10 and a half million birth and Christening records and 2 million marriage records between 1530 and 1906.

VRI is available on 16 compact discs for about £25 from Family Search.
