my family came from ireland in the 1847 ish and lived in poorhouse yard barnard castle durham would there be records for this thanks deb |

Don't know about that specific home but there are lots of poorhouses with info on the web, do google or whatever because you may well be successful. |

Try the workhouses site:- www.workhouses.org and put Barnard Castle into the search box on there. Kath. x |
