Henry Frederick Searle born Sept. 1888 Shoreditch. Rose Emily Searle (nee Arnold) born 2nd qtr. 1891 London C. They married 2nd qtr. 1913 in Islington. Thanks.

Have you any idea when they were last known to be alive? Last child born when? Without a way to narrow it down it could take forever looking qtr by qtr right up to about the 1980's Kath. x

Hi Margaret and Steph, Thank you for all the time you have spent on this for me - I think Margarets find for Henry is a strong possibility and think Steph's find for Rose is a strong possibility. I'll follow both these up. Thank you again. Linda

Julie, Do you know if both Hammersmith and Kensington are anywhere near Shoreditch please

Linda, You should be able to find these places on a map of London. Although Shoreditch is a certain distance from Hammersmith and Kensington it was quite usual for people who started out in the poorer, East End of London to move towards the more comfortable areas to the west but even Kensington a century ago had its poorer parts.
