If you go onto the GENUKI site and put in Gateshead in search box it will tell you where parish records are. This is the url for the gateshead page. http://www.joinermarriageindex(.)com/pjoiner/genuki/DUR/Gateshead/#ChurchRecords remove brackets. It says the parish records for 1559-1979 are at Durham County Record office. Jennifer |

I'm specifically wanting to see records in Gateshead/Sunderland area. Do I need to know the specific parishes and if so how would I find them? Is there someone specific I need to contact or would the main library in those areas have them? I have got some info from the LDS site but I know of other families in the area that are connected but on the mormon site. Thanks for any help Sam |
