Presumably your parents are no longer alive? Do you know if they had any aunts or uncles, as they will be the siblings of one of your grandparents. Do you have any cousins who might know? What about old photos, preferably ones that somebody has had the foresight to name. |

If you know the area they were likely to be born and it was after 1911, then you can look in the birth index for all births under the father's surname where the mother's maiden name is the same as your grandparent. You can then order the certificates from the GRO giving the parents first names as checking points so that they only issue the certificates if everything matches. As already stated, if it was before 1901 then you can check for the family in the 1901 census. If they were born between 1901 and 1911 it becomes more difficult, as the mother's maiden name isn't included in the index at that time. Kath. x |

You can do a search on the Mormon site -it`s free but not 100% accurate, Ros |

I'm new to geneology and not sure how to find out if my grandparents had any brothers or sisters. Is it possible to find it out if you have the name of the parents? |
