As a registered and licensed user of £4,000 of microfiche for births and marriages, I hear, through the grapevine that the GRO are going to put births, marriages and deaths online for FREE. Don't know when this will happen but the sooner the better for all searchers. Apparently this decision was made some 4 years ago when I had just coughed up my money and just before 1837online / findmypast started. He's made plenty of money now so he will be a bit peeved about this decision. Joan |
