Yesterday I phoned a nephew who deals in computer stuff and he had no idea what the problem was. When we were coming home this afternoon he was just heading home, having come to see us and found us not in. He turned round and came up and decided that M s N had some problem with compatability, so he installed Mozarilla Firefox and it is working fine now. He will probably be met by a rolling pin when he gets home at 8pm! Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

Sorry to be late replying, I was in bed (I am in New Zealand). I am going out soon so will reply tonight (my time) when I have investigated your answers. Huia.

Hav you 'upgraded' to the h o t m a i l live system recently? I had all these probs and the site just hanging when I upgraded - I went back to the old program and its fine now. Click on the options link - on the right hand side somewhere and choose the old program.

I use h****il too and have just deleted several messages without opening them. No probs at all. Perhaps it was a temporary thing, I'd give it another try. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Caz

I use M S N and haven't experienced any of these problems, although I normally use Outlook Express to connect there are occasions when I log in directly. I have just sent an em to my wife with no problems and have deleted an unread one simply by ticking the box and clicking on delete so am a little unclear why you are having problems.

I could not see anything in options to help me either with deleting things or with replying/sending new emails. It is so frustrating when I have always done these things in the past. Why do these firms have to keep 'improving' things when they dont need it. They dont improve them, they make them worse.

Are you saying you check the box next to your message and then the delete button and it doesn't work? Have you looked at the Options section (top right) for the replying problem? Rose

Over the last few weeks I have found that while I can still receive emails and read them, I cannot reply, either by clicking on the reply button or the 'new' button. In the latter case, I can put in the persons addy, plus type in the subject, but that is far as I can go. Luckily I do have an addy with a different outfit, but I prefer this one when it works. I also find that I cannot delete emails without opening them first. Luckily they have just been the ones from GR so it is safe to open them, but if it was an unknown sender I would not want to open it. Can anybody suggest what the problem is? Or give me a contact for M S N h*tm**l so I can ask them?
