Thanks Shirley that does look very promising. I will look further into the name of Eliza Pelling. Yes William did move to London and that is where i have traced to rest of the family.William was my gg grandfather. Thanks to Glitter Baby.In the list of household names the name Boxall rings a bell. I have come across that name before in the later years .I will retrack and see what i come up with. Thanks again to both of you. Sometimes i just can't seem to find anything. Fresh eyes help. Donna |

this may be the church St Nicholas Church Dyke Road, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 3JN - England, UK Phone: +44 (0)1273 321399 Map St Nicholas Church, just north of the main shopping centre in Brighton, is the town’s oldest surviving building. The church was originally built in Norman times, but the current architecture dates from the 14th Century. The interior of the church houses a drum shaped font carved from a single piece of Caen stone in 1160. The graveyard reveals the resting places of many well known Brighton Regency figures such as Martha Gunn and Captain Nicholas Tettersell. |

Can anyone help i seem to be going round in circles. I have searched Ancestry and family search, but can't seem to find a wife for Thomas Pelling b 1816-1883 Brighton. On 1841 census he is living with his 2 children Willian francis Pelling b 1827 Brighton and Frances Pelling b 1832.,also there is Mary Pelling b 1766 who i presume is Thomas's mother. I have searched for deaths around 1832-1840 for a possible death of his wife ,but found nothing. Are there any other web sites where i can find info before 1837? or will my only option to be send off for birth certificates etc... Thankyou Donna. |
