Thank you all once again for your messages of sympathy. Dad's funeral was held earlier on to-day and my friend Denise sang especially for Dad and me. Also an eleven year old little girl (Eloise I think she was called) who was my Dad's 'favourite' in the church choir..so I found out to-day, sang solo too. She would always look out for my elderly Dad after Mass to have a chat with him, her Mum told me. She volunteered to sing to-day as he always praised her for her beautiful voice. Bless her little cotton socks! And her singing was indeed beautiful to--day. How lovely for a child to be so thoughtful and caring for an old parishoner. |

Just like to say 'Thank you' for all your lovely messages and kind thoughts. It's so helpful knowing that there are so many lovely people on here...and so many of you know what it's like to lose somebody close to you. I needed to come back to-day to get a bit of normality back into my life and have a short break from dealing with the usual formalities that you have to do. My Dad suffered from dementia and would you believe we found a little notebook...with his Dad's and other family members death dates written down! And to think I spent hours searching for the records to get hold of these certificates just to complete my tree...and Dad had the info all the time! I bet he said 'oops' when we found his book! Kindest Regards....Teresa |

Teresa So sorry to hear your sad news. I'll be thinking of you and your family. My lovely Dad only recently passed away and I can honestly say that this 'little hobby' has kept me occupied - probably would have gone mad without it. Best advice I can give you is keep yourself occupied. We are all here for you Teresa. Dawn xxx |
